Now I'm curious...who in the world would fire YOU, what were you in the newspaper for, and what was the ambulance ride for??

I can be stubborn, and some folks don't much appreciate it. Though, in my defense, the firing(s) didn't stick. I showed back-up the following day and continued work as usual.

The newspaper? Well, I've been in the newspaper, and on the radio, and on TV, several times — all for different things… downtown growth, Pioneer Park, being gay and Mormon, the Farmers Market (if I recall correctly), et cetera.

The ambulance ride may be a figment of my imagination … I had fallen/been pushed down the stairs (I hate stairs), and I was rushed to the hospital — but I can't recall how, exactly.

You have done much, Silus.

(that sounds like a Star Wars quote doesn't it? That's cool...)

I have, Nathan … and I've still got 60 good years in me! But in the end, there's only one thing I want to do: leave the world better than I found it.

I might be wrong but last time I was in New York they didn't let you climb to the top of the Statue of Liberty. We passed it in a ferry instead. Luckily, when I was young I got to climb to the top during a school field trip. It took forever.

That just makes it all the more alluring!
