Perhaps it started with that Nirvana album cover… but underwater pictures of babies seem to have captured our imagination. Now there's a company that specializes in these ethereal portraits. Urchin Rock, a UK-based agency, seems to go all-out to accommodate parents in their quest for unique portraits.
What with the baby culture we have here, in Utah, I wonder if this wouldn't be a super idea for some enterprising local photographer.

I think parents some parents would be pretty freaked about the idea of completely submerging their baby in water. I understand the risks are pretty minimal, though.
It was a huge fad in the late 60s, early 70s to teach children to swim as infants (it may still be…). I was one of these babies: at 6 weeks, I was thrown into a pool (supervised, of course), and allowed to swim.
I haven't stopped swimming.

some swimming pools have "IRS" (I think) certified instructors which teach children, from 6 months to 2 years, how to float and swim. It's pretty cool stuff.
I'm glad I learned to swim so early. I've never been afraid of the water, I think, because it came so naturally for me.
Have you considered taking Bailey?
