Mars, a friend of mine, is joining the Church tonight.

I got him a small Moleskine notebook, and wrote this in the front:

Mars, my good friend, I cannot tell you how happy I am for you — what joy flooded my heart when I first heard the news! Please take a moment to write your story, here — in these pages. Let your grandchildren know how a good man became a great Mormon. One day, one step at a time.
