Number of Books on the Shelf:
I haven't finished cataloging my library, so I can't say for certain... but I'd guess that I have around 600 books. I do, however, know how many books I have in my Amazon wishlist (that's supposed to be a link that goes just to my books... it may not work, here's a link to my whole wish list).
Last Book Purchased:
The last book I purchased was Allan B Jacobs' "The Boulevard Book : History, Evolution, Design of Multiway Boulevards"
Book Reading Right Now:
I'm not reading a book right now... I'm waiting for a care package from my mom that contains Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Last Five Books Read:
- Wendell Berry: "That Distant Land: The Collected Stories"
- Craig Thompson: "Carnet De Voyage"
- Paul Stewart: "Curse of the Gloamgozer (Edge Chronicles Book Four)"
- Ron Schow's "Peculiar People"
- Lynne Truss's "Eats, Shoots and Leaves"

How are the Edge Chronicles?
I just heard about them the other day. Are they worth reading from a more adult perspective? Or are they geared more for children? My friend found them as way to kill a day or two of the probably two year wait before hp7.
That is a ridiculously long wish list, Silus. 63 pages? I applaud you.
Hehe... It's actually been pruned several times! If it reflected the sum-total of all the items I've put on it, it would be well over 2000.
I love books... I can't help it.
: )
The Edge Chronicles are WONDERFUL! They are some of the best youth fiction I've ever read. My only complaint is that in book four, they inexplicably switch storylines... I have no idea where this story occurs in the whole chronology, which is a little annoying — but I'm hoping it's resolved in book 5, which came out last month.
Oh, hey... PrivateJokr: I see you're waiting for ELDEST to arrive.
Very cool.
I loved the first book... but he really needs a professional editor. The book could have been tightened-up, loosing 100 pages... but oh well. It's a great story!
I agree with you 100% on Eragon. It was a bit rough around the edges. We will have to wait a few more weeks to find out if they have worked on that at all for Eldest.
I guess I'll check out the Edge Chronicles with a review like that. I've already passed your words on to my friend who asked me about them yesterday.
Thanks.
My pleasure... and thanks for stopping by. Don't be a stranger!
*losing 100 pages
(Speaking of needing a professional editor!)
