I can't believe it's starting this way.

I've been online since, well, the beginning of the web, and I've always planned to get a little personal site of my own — you know: some time... I always pictured starting out with a hand-rolled beauty of a blog, something I could be proud of. Of course, I never really had the time. Work and play and work always got in the way. It's hard to set aside time for grandeur. Mediocrity... well, we've always got time for that.

So here I am... starting a blog. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And why? So I could post a response (not even a very good one) to a post over at Matt Garn's blog.

Now don't get me wrong... it's about damn time that I get a blog of my own. I just didn't expect it to start this way.
